wow cataclysm patch 4.3
The bulk of the patch from Blizzard will include new content for players as well as a massive boss fight with Deathwing -- the expansion's iconic dragon boss.
In addition, high-level characters will also have the ability to 'transmogrify' armor. Transmogrification of armor lets players take previously unwanted pieces of armor and combine them to produce new suits with enhanced abilities taken from constituent parts -- sounds like WOW's version of Diablo's legendary Horadric Cube. Apparently, these new suits of armor will also have the effect of differentiating high-level characters and encouraging players to go back through the world in search of formerly weak armor pieces.
Also, Patch 4.3 will give players access to a bag of holding called 'Void Storage'. This can be acquired from an Ethereal, allowing players access to 100 to 150 items via "a pocket dimension created for a player that allows them to store extra items". Unfortunately, due to technical issues that cannot be dealt with, "Anything stored in the void is stripped of its enchantments and gems and the name of the person who crafted it," Lead Game Designer Tom Chilton.
Finally, Chilton dished the goods on a new feature called "Raid Finder". The Raid Finder "essentially operates like a dungeon finder, automating the search for fellow players on the hunt for a good raiding party. It will be built into the game's updated user interface when the patch hits".
According to the report, this will be the last major update to WOW Cataclysm, but Chilton promised that yet another expansion is in the works for the wildly popular MMO but that "He's just not ready to talk about it yet."
