Thread: [TUT] How to Downgrade from 4.01 to 3.3.5A [TUT]

If you are at 4.0.1 and you want to play a private server, follow these steps:

1. You will need to unistall WoW completely and reinstall it.
2. Once its done, DO NOT START TO UPDATE, it will automaticly patch up to 4.0.1
3. Manually download all the patchs here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Alternative download: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Remember this:

Patches must be applied in order from lowest version to highest, for example: 3.0.2 -> 3.0.3 -> 3.0.8 -> 3.0.8a -> 3.0.9 -> 3.1.0 -> 3.1.1 -> 3.1.1a -> 3.1.2 -> 3.1.3....

Also, apply the correct patch for your client (your WoW) (US client, EU client, german client etc)

Yes, its gonna take some time doing it all manually but you will be able to enjoy your private servers.

To downgrade all you have to do is delete the patch.mpq files and run Blizz Repair.

according to people trying it doesnt work anymore after 4.0.X. thats why he came up with this "downgrade/reinstall guide"
