Cigs on 18th birthdate?

Yes i live in Usa,Baltimore Maryland.My Birthdate is 10/25/94.I know i got a few years before i can buy cigs but this has me woundering.I have heard a few story's that Stores if you get carded won't sell you cigs intill 24 hours after you hit 18,Because i was planning on 10/25/12 exactly at 12am going down to the store and buying cigs as a birthdate present for my self.I am just woundering i have no issue if they ask for my id because i have my miltary id stating i am such and such.

I started smoking back when i was 13.I smoked for about 8 months and had to quit due to not being able to find anyone to buy cigs for me anymore if i had the money.

Note:I do not want to smoke to be cool...if so it has failed lol.I smoke to releave stress and anger.

Plz try to anwser in best way you can.

Idk, if your 18 then they have to sell you them.

Personally i dont smoke and i will never suggest you that you start with it.

My grandfather died because of smoking. I'm same as Jerry, not smoking, doing sports ofc. I would never suggest you or anyone to start smoking. What you have of it? Only being such awesome for having something in your mouth? Lol.

Well in most stores it says: "We do not sell Alcoholic drinks and Cigarettes under 18 years old." so you can get your older brother or someone into store to buy you one, but remember what I've told you.

I asked:Can i buy cigs on 10/25/12 at 12am in morning or a minute later since i turn exactly 18 then.I have been woundering this for about a year due to i heard storys where people had to wait 12-24 hours even after they turn 18.

I am just woundering caz when they ask for id there going to see i hit 18 a few minutes ago and im woundering if they will still sell me them since ive only been 18 a few minutes.

Well you can buy it day after your 18 birthday... but as i see you are hurry to smoke ...

well you are 18 even if its only few minutes so they shouldn't be able to do anything about it. Some of my friends bought sigs and beer from the gas station right away. maybe around half an hour after or so but yeah you get the point
