    I use the VLC media player because it has alot of codec packages to encryp nearly every movie

    I never heard of using VLC as music player. I use it for watching movies etc of course. However I use Itunes to listen to music. Since I already use Itunes to sync my music on my Iphone. So I already have them on the Itunes list and it's pretty easy to manage / control.
