    Well GranMaestro's theory sounds more promising than the others. Anyhow read about it myself. Hopefully nothing like that happens but if anything ever happens i would believe its that's reason more than the others.But overall I don't believe anything will happen

    Actually the scientists from NASA have actually confirmed the solar flare WILL happen SOON, not definitely 2012, and also it will cause no damage, apart from slightly eroding the magnetic field as all solar flares do. Electricity will most likely not be effected, although satellite signals are most likely going to be disrupted for a few hours to a day (hence what he said about the internet.) :P
