    Unhappy In BIG need of help!

    Okay, this is my first thread in here, so I don't even know if it's in the right place, but if it isn't, mod please move it where it should be.

    Okay, here's the thing. I wanted to start a private PVP server, so I downloaded AwkwardDev's Sunset, because it already had vendors and everything. My friends helped me set up the malls, item prices and everything. The whole server is ready, just one minor problem. THE REGISTRATION WEBSITE. I have been trying to fix it from 3 weeks. I have read absolutely EVERYTHING, about this error.
    Database: mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure authentication. Please use an administration tool to reset your password with the command SET PASSWORD = PASSWORD('your_existing_password'). This will store a new, and more secure, hash value in mysql.user. If this user is used in other scripts executed by PHP 5.2 or earlier you might need to remove the old-passwords flag from your my.cnf file
    At first I couldn't run mysql from xampp, so I ran it from the repack. Apache wouldn't start on any of the ports I set it(they were forwarded), so I downloaded xampp. and this error kept showing up with every registration site I tryed. Somewhere I read that the Mysql from the repack is old, so now I run it from Apache, but still getting the same error. PLEASE help me! Me and a friend have been trying to solve this from 3 weeks, but nothing. My PC has become an absolute MESS from all the Reg Pages, htdocs and stuff I have downloaded, with no luck.     From the error, it has nothing to do with your Registration page, something is wrong with your MySQL server that you are using.

    Try to download your own MySQL server →[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]←

    You may need to dump, your old Database and once you have your new MySQL setup extract your OLD database .sql file(s) to your new MySQL connection.

    If this doesn't make sense or need further assistance, please just let us know.
